A very virtual Children’s Book Week

In spite of Lockdown restrictions, many of this year’s Book Week engagements will happen online and I’ve got my on-camera delivery down pat.

You should see my virtual story time studio I’ve cobbled together as well, with a little help from my neighbours with props and goodies!

Thanks to all the libraries, bookstores and schools inviting me into your virtual spaces for Children’s Book Week 23-27 August. JETTY JUMPING is right at home with the Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds theme – grown ups have jetty jumping memories, and brave kids love exploring the new and otherworld underwater worlds beneath jetties!

I’m so proud of how JETTY JUMPING’s themes of bravery and friendship, summer and outdoor adventures, and text connection have resonated with readers. Big thanks to amazingly, wonderful illustrator Hannah Sommerville.

And jetty grins to the fab folks at Hardie Grant!
