THE CLIENT

Parks Victoria / 100 Years of ANZAC

THE PROJECT

Script writing and editing, schools messaging and media communications and management, video direction and management.

THE BRIEF

At 12.45pm on Tuesday 5 August 2014, a single shot was fired on the Mornington Peninsula at Point Nepean to mark the centenary of a remarkable and defining moment in our nation’s history – the first shot fired in anger in the British Empire at the start of World War One.

A community campaign was required to invite the regional community, key stakeholders and VIPs to this historic events. I worked with Parks Victoria and the ANZAC 100 Years committee to coordinate communications with schools, dignitaries and broadcast media.

I also researched and wrote scripts for key interpretive materials. Actor William McInnes’s voice was used for historic VO work in the Pt Nepean tunnels, and we also directed video messages from key ANAZAC and Parks staff and dignitaries

THE OUTCOME

  • Media coverage on all national news
  • Engagement with key communities and school children
  • Legacy of in-situ script voice over sharing the history
  • You tube video messages
