Victoria Walks

THE PROJECT

Downloadable activity sheets and blogs

THE BRIEF

Victoria Walks wants to get more people walking more every day, within strong and vibrant communities, with resulting health benefits. The organisation received funding to encourage families to walk together. The collaborative initiative with VicHealth called for the development a number of downloadable activity sheets and blogs that could be easily accessed and by families.

I coordinated the concepts and activity proposals for all activity sheets. Families activity sheets. I also creative copy allowing for practical family application while out walking. This project called upon my past experience writing children’s materials for national parks Junior ranger activities, and my own experiences as an avid walker.

THE OUTCOME

  • 8 double sided Smart Steps for Families activity sheets.
  • Highly engaged response from families with the website documenting feedback from families.
  • These activity sheets continue to be downloaded by kindergartens and family walking groups.

TESTIMONIAL

Andrea gave us a fresh voice for our content when we identified a gap in our engagement strategy. She was a terrific listener and was able to quickly come back to us with ideas and concepts that she crafted into copy that made sense and helped parents achieve walking success with their children. We loved her parenting take on the copy, and further commissioned her to write a series of blogs for parenting platforms on the benefits of walking with children.
