The Mornington Peninsula is well regarded as a hub for eco-philosophies, healthy living and sustainable lifestyles.
The Peninsula Health and Wellbeing Expo takes this connection further as it returns for a 4th year on Sunday 26th October from 10am – 4pm, 2014.
Held at the Mornington Racecourse, with entry just $2 for adults and free entry for kids, locals are invited to see, smell, touch, taste and try products and services to inspire us to live a fulfilling, stress-reduced and healthier lifestyle.
The annual expo, which attracted over 2, 000 visitors last year, enables Mornington Peninsula families to gain advice from over 70 energising environmental, health and wellbeing businesses in our region.
From free massages and yoga sessions, to cooking and composting demonstrations, visitors will come away feeling more confident and committed to a healthier lifestyle.
The popular event has expanded this year to introduce a Green Home Zone which features displays, guidance and experts on creating sustainable homes and workplaces which can make all the difference to our health and happiness.
The Peninsula Health and Wellbeing Expo is a grass roots way for Peninsula families to bring gardening plans, power bills, diet conundrums, eco-living queries and family health challenges as they meet specialists and experts in the field of health, wellbeing, nutrition and sustainable living,” said event organiser Jo Schutt.
Research tells us that the health of our built environment is essential to the overall health of people, plants and our planet. In the past we looked to the previous generations to share insights and experiences to guide us, but over time we have lost that village mentality.
The Expo brings the village back, sharing sustainability success stories, and inspiring us with demonstrations to live a vibrant, happy, healthy life by connecting with some terrific ethical and holistic products and services available right here on our doorstep.
The expo will showcase organisations like Peninsula Chiropractors United, United Solar Energy and MP Cheap Fruit and Veg, as well as Kings Swim Centre, Peninsula Hot Springs, Seaswell and Transformations Beyond Beauty have a well regarded reputation. There’s a treasure trove of wellness services, holistic and eco-enthusiasts and suppliers right here on our doorstep, without having to drive up to Melbourne, and it’s equally important we support their business in our community.
