In the rockpool is offically launched
Goodness me Rye Preschool, of all the kindergarten rock pools in all of the world, I wandered into yours on book launch day.
And what a superb surprise seaside party you threw! How lucky am I?
We sang, we counted, we wondered, we discovered! Together we rambled through my brand new In the Rockpool story illustrated by Hannah Sommerville and published by Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing. What a fabulous morning!
Biggest thanks to Julie Irvine Rye Pre-School director and her gorgeous crew of teaching staff Jane and Laura who prepared this lovely surprise, and for our lovely local Cr Sarah Race – Mornington Peninsula Shire who joined us too.
Red carpet arrival, Rockpool songs, assembling edible Rockpool party snacks, playing in a watery Rockpool with a few familiar Jetty jumpers, sharing I spy observations and finishing up the the best kinder kid hugs ever!
This was the most incredible way to welcome In the Rockpool into the world, and it was my honour to launch it in such a fabulous local kindergarten who embrace their beach program and environmental care.
We’re officially launched my rock poolers! Thank you!
