Nomination for Citizen of the Year

I’m just happy connecting community

I feel like I need to wheel out a small bugle player and pass the hors d’oeuvres around for this news:

Today I received a Letter under Council Seal from Mornington Peninsula Shire Council, acknowledging that I was one of the many folks nominated in the category of Citizen of the Year.

Goodness me, I was super surprised … but thankful.

Streamlining processes, articulating messages, collaborating with others, creativity, books, writing, literacy and connection through words are what floats my boat.

I feel so honoured other people see the value of contributing to the community. I get an awful lot out of being involved and making things happen how I can.

I’ll keep making a difference where I’m most useful (mostly where there are words and books, but always where there are connections and understanding).

Here’s to all of us doing our bit,

because it all does a lot!

Cheers,

Andrea
