Storytime online

Old school storytime online:

I don’t know about you, but I’ve missed library time, and book reading to small ones.

I have some special little folks that I often read to, just to enjoy exploring books with them, or peering around the aisles at bookstores and libraries during Story Hours has always made me grin.

I’ve missed that since we are in restrictions here in Victoria with COVID lockdown.

But that hasn’t stopped me sharing my love of stories through Live Reads on behalf of Peninsula Writers’ Club.

The Australian Library and Information Association released a Book Industry Agreement on copyright for virtual story times.

I collaborated with Seawinds Early Learning Centre and shared Facebook Live Reads each week.

Once upon a time

Lockdown storytime for local kids

I had a great time choosing books for early readers and small children to easily follow, with words that delighted and stories that would hold interest online.

Book Chook and I (he’s my special keep me company it my writing nook) love shared all of my favourite Australia picture books.

Thanks for tuning in!

If you joined me for the Live Reads – a big thank you for tuning in. I even had a few fan mail messages!

Big book love from Book Chook and I.

Cheers,

Andrea
