mask walking and glasses

2022 is the year to finish my novel

Which is a good thing.

Because I’ve been given two weeks of focussed, uninterrupted writing time!

I’m thrilled to have been awarded the Mornington Peninsula Shire Mornington Peninsula Arts & Culture 2022/23 Artist in Residence program to focus on my young adult novel set on the Mornington Peninsula.

“The response to our call for EOIs this year has been overwhelming, and of a very high standard – a sign of a very successful and popular artist residency program.” – MP Shire Arts and Culture.

I am tremendously grateful for this opportunity to enable me to take time out from day-to-day interruptions and focus on the creative production of my manuscript in a truly inspirational setting. The contemporary themes of this novel are close to my heart, and the characters and setting are ready to find their way onto the page. An artist in residency at Portsea is exactly what I need to move forward.

At the completion of my residency, I’ll be sharing a story time session of my current children’s book, and hosting an interactive writing workshop.

Here’s to a very creative and productive 2022.

Cheers,

Andrea
