Book Chats are my jam

Because I’m fascinated with the world of writers and the process of writing, I love to interview authors who are just as enamored with that world.

I chat with authors visiting Antipodes Bookstore for Words After Dark ‘in conversation’ events, and I interview writers about their latest works and publishing experiences with Frankston City Libraries FrankTALK program.

You can check out my regular author chats on my Instagram page or in my Events listing.

Recently I spoke with author, filmmaker, and scriptwriter Rachel Giveny during lockdown direct from her office to mine.

Rachel has worked on Offspring, The Warriors, McLeod’s Daughters, Rescue: Special Ops and All Saints. Her films have also been official selections at the Sydney Film Festival, Flickerfest, Tropfest and many more.

Besides her impressive contribution to our culture through fabulous scrips, Rachel has given the world 2 novels so far JANE IN LOVE and her latest work, a historical novel, SECRETS MY FATHER KEPT.

I loved talking with Rachel about what inspired her to write her new novel SECRETS MY FATHER KEPT, and a plot twist that gave me whiplash!

You can see the full interview here.

Need an MC or an interviewer for your next event? I’m your go-to Zoom girl to keep the conversation going
